About the Program

The International Human Rights Law Summer School offers law students the chance to deepen their understanding of international and EU human rights frameworks, humanitarian protection, and legal advocacy, all in a truly international academic environment.

2-week program:

• International Human Rights Law Summer School, July 4–18, 2026 | €1,450 | 6 ECTS
  • Gain insight into major international human rights issues, EU human rights law, and humanitarian protection.

4-week program:

• International Human Rights Program & Debate Academy, July 4–August 2, 2026 | €2,500 | 12 ECTS
  • Explore key issues of human rights protection and EU law while strengthening your advocacy skills through the Debate Academy, an interactive program that develops public speaking, persuasion, and real-world argumentation under the guidance of top international trainers.

Both programs are taught by leading scholars and practitioners, featuring interactive lectures, case studies, and hands-on knowledge. The Debate Academy is led by internationally renowned Croatian debate trainers.

The Pécs Summer School Program was founded in 2016 with the aim of organizing an increasing number of summer schools each year. In 2026, we are planning to host 150 students from all across the world, studying a wide range of disciplines in our two- and four-week summer programs. Participants will attend very enjoyable social and cultural programs together, offering a unique intercultural student experience in one of Central Europe’s most beautiful cities, the 2,000-year-old city of Pécs.
