The University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar is organizing a symposium on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day on September 9, 2024, starting at 4 PM. This year, the World Physiotherapy Organization has dedicated the day to the theme of lower back pain and the role of physiotherapists in its treatment and prevention. Lower back pain is a global issue and the leading cause of disability worldwide. In 2020, an estimated 619 million people experienced lower back pain. Physiotherapists are specialists in the rehabilitation of lower back pain, working to reduce pain and creating individualized rehabilitation plans based on patient needs.
Continuous professional development and keeping up with global trends in rehabilitation and treatment are essential. The symposium will feature leading experts and physiotherapists from healthcare institutions in the region. Through examples of best practices, discussions will cover current trends in the treatment of lower back pain, including DNS, Bobath, Vojta, and Schroth therapies.
We believe that the lectures will offer new perspectives and insights into various treatment methods for addressing lower back pain.

The symposium is accredited by the Croatian Chamber of Physiotherapists.
