Instructions for Authors

In addition to the first author, a maximum of two co-authors can sign the paper. One author can submit a maximum of two papers.

It is not necessary to number the chapters and pages in the paper. The paper must be formatted on A4 paper – portrait view – with the following margins: left, right, top, bottom: 2.5 cm; The spacing of the text should be 1.5 double-sided alignment, recommended font Times New Roman, size 12. The metric units used in the paper should be listed according to the International System of Units (SI). Abbreviations used in the text should be listed in full the first time they are mentioned.

Abstracts of papers should be in Croatian and English, while finished papers should be in Croatian, and if they wish, the authors can also write the paper in English.

Abstracts should contain the following parts:

TITLE OF THE PAPER – clear, but informative [Font Times New Roman size 12, BOLD, HRV, ENG]

The recommended length of the title is 10 to 15 words.

Authors should be listed under the title:

  1. author Name and Surname [font Times New Roman, size 12, bold]

Organization, Country,

E-mail [font Times New Roman, size 12, italics]

After the list of all authors, it is mandatory to indicate the contact author: first and last name, e-mail address

 

ABSTRACT [font Times New Roman, size 12, italics, bold]

The abstract should be up to 250 words long and should be structured with the following parts: Introduction and at the end the aim of the paper, Materials and methods, Results and Conclusion. It is not recommended to use abbreviations in the abstract.

 

ABSTRACT

At the end of the abstract, 3-5 key words that are not mentioned in the title of the paper should be listed.

Paper structure

Paper should be written in the active form of the verb whenever possible.

INTRODUCTION [Font Times New Roman size 12, BOLD]

It should be short, with a clear indication of the goal of the paper and connecting it with papers of the same or similar topic. Not doing an extensive literature review.

 

MATERIALS AND METHODS [Times New Roman font size 12, BOLD]

Support with sufficient information in this section to allow other researchers to repeat the research.

 

RESULTS [Times New Roman font size 12, BOLD]

Show them clearly, and use either tables or graphs. Briefly comment on them, and display the discussion chapter separately.

 

DISCUSSION [Times New Roman font size 12, BOLD]

Do not repeat the results, but interpret them in the context of other research on the same or similar topics.

 

CONCLUSION [Times New Roman font size 12, BOLD]

State the most significant conclusions from the paper.

If the paper contains pictures, tables or graphs, they must be properly labeled and referred to in the part of the text that refers to them, for example (Figure 1, Graph 1, or Table 1). The number, title and source of the figure or graph are written below, while the number, title and source of the table are written above.

LITERATURE [Times New Roman font size 12, BOLD]

It is necessary to use the so-called the Harvard in-text citation system, and an alphabetical list. If there are one or two authors, state their surnames separated by a comma and the year of publication (Marković, 2017) or (Marković, Ljubić, 2017). If there are three authors, use the symbol & (Marković, Ljubić & Adamić, 2017). If there are more than three authors, write the surname of the first and the label et al., and the year (Marković et al., 2017). List all authors in the list of references.

A book:

Last name, initial(s) of the author’s name (year of publication). Title: subtitle. Release information. Place of publish: Publisher.

Chapter in the book:

Last name, initial of the author’s name. (year of publication). Title of the chapter // Title of the book / Name and surname of the author of the book. Place of publish: Publisher. Start and end page.

Proceedings:

Surname, initial(s) of the editor., editor (year of publication). Title: subtitle. Release information. Place of publish: Publisher.

Article in the collection:
