Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing the study program, students will be able:
LO1 To connect etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of the most common disorders from the fields of surgery, orthopedics, traumatology, sports medicine, internal medicine, gynecology with obstetrics, neurology, psychiatry, pediatrics, and oncology.
LO2 To integrate theoretical knowledge from fundamental clinical and medical sciences with clinical practice with the purpose of solving complicated issues during physiotherapeutic assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
LO3 To assess the possibility of using physiotherapy with some of the most common disorders from the fields of surgery, orthopedics, traumatology, sports medicine, internal medicine, gynecology with obstetrics, neurology, psychiatry, pediatrics, and oncology.
LO4 To evaluate the state of a subject on the basis of physiological parameters and values of motoric tests.
LO5 To conduct a comprehensive physiotherapeutic assessment.
LO6 To choose activities and physiotherapeutic steps needed for rehabilitation on the basis of the user/ patient’s state and age, and on the basis of the conducted measures and tests.
LO7 To correctly apply a physiotherapeutic program by using physical agents, therapeutic exercise, manual techniques and concepts while taking into account indications, contra-indications, and individual needs of the subject.
LO8 To analyze the results of a conducted physiotherapeutic process and evaluate the applied physiotherapeutic interventions.
LO9 To critically assess the usefulness of application of different modes of physiotherapeutic treatment including physical agents, therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and concepts while respecting the practices based on scientific research.
LO10 To evaluate the need for adjustment of rehabilitation protocols in the scope of physiotherapeutic treatment on the basis of the results of physiotherapeutic assessment.
LO11 To plan kinesiological activities for different groups of users.
LO12 To critically deliberate the entire rehabilitation process of a patient/user on all three levels (primary, secondary, and tertiary) of medical protection.
LO13 To evaluate and interpret the effects of an applied physiotherapeutic program using appropriate outcome measures.
LO14 To recommend outside the physiotherapeutic process for acquiring better results (nutritionists, psychologists, work therapists, and other connected experts).
LO15 To develop the habit of continuously following their profession by reading foreign medical literature.
LO16 To support the choice of physiotherapeutic interventions on the basis of researching relevant literature.
LO17 To evaluate the applied physiotherapeutic interventions by conducting simple research while using appropriate statistical methods.
LO18 To valorize the importance of efficient communication for teamwork, working with users/patients, and other team members.
LO19 To value the role of a physiotherapist in a team while respecting professional and responsible physiotherapeutic application.
LO20 To apply and use fundamental medicinal terminology in written and spoken communication in foreign languages (English and German).
