SPACE, EQUIPMENT AND FUND
The library of the University of Applied Sciences „Lavoslav Ružička“ in Vukovar started operating in December 2007 and operates within the University as a special organizational unit. Library activities include the collection, construction and organization of the library fund, acquisition, professional processing, preservation and protection of library materials, computer equipment and library inventory.
The library fund was created by both buying and receiving books as gifts, it contains about 5,500 books, and is available to users for borrowing or working in the reading room.
Within the Library there is also a Study Reading Room which is equipped with modern technical aids, and has 10 computers and 10 more seats. Users in the reading room can search the catalog of the University Library, as well as other networked libraries, and search the databases available through the Center for Online Databases. Students can use the wireless network of the University to access the Internet, instructions for connecting can be obtained at the Library.
Computers in the reading room can be used by all students of the University for the purpose of writing or concluding papers and searching catalogs and databases, and exclusively for the purpose of study.
The reading room needs peace and quiet so as not to disturb other users.
Food and drink cannot be brought in and consumed in the reading room.
