Learning Outcomes

After successfully completing the study program, students will be able:

LO1 Define, interpret, and connect fundamental terms from commerce, logistics, sales and procurement, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, accounting, business finance, socially responsible business, and trade law.

LO2 Critically deliberate contemporary trading trends.

LO3 Determine the basic principles and features of a company as a complex business system with an emphasis on the goals and principles of conducting business, fundamental managerial and work functions, the structure of property and expenses, methods of determining and monitoring business successfulness, and resources and investments.

LO4 Analyze the principles and features of Croatian and European economies.

LO5 Analyze the position of commerce, e-business models, and application of ICT technologies in the economic area of the Republic of Croatia.

LO6 Interpret and connect fundamental terms from the fields of IT, mathematics, and statistics, as well as to apply different computing tools and methods in solving business problems.

LO7 Assess the successfulness of a business on the basis of (interpretation and differentiation) accounting information, financial (accounting) reports, other business reports, and conducted financial analysis of the company.

LO8 Critically assess structural problems of an organization and to propose ways of solving them.

LO9 Evaluate the state of trade of agricultural products in an economic area.

LO10 Plan the policies of sales and procurement of products and services.

LO11 Apply and analyze marketing activities and tools use in trading business subjects.

LO12 Propose an integrated marketing communication of a company.

LO13 Propose operational execution of individual national and multinational transactions.

LO14 Assess the contemporary approach of business subjects who apply the principles and practices of socially responsible business conduct.

LO15 Compare and differentiate an entrepreneurial idea and create a business plan.

LO16 Analyze the property structure, financing sources (capital and obligations) as well as earnings and expenses of a business subject and differentiate fundamental business strategies connected with those categories.

LO17 Apply the proper accounting principles, standards, and rules needed for managing and evidencing (bookkeeping) typical bookkeeping transactions in basic accounting books (journal, general ledger) for producing or trading companies.

LO18 Differentiate between regulations of trade contract law and trade law in general and explain the significance of transport law for the development of an economy.

LO19 Develop communicational skills and demonstrate public speaking skills.

LO20 Apply fundamental economic and business terminology in written and spoken communication in a foreign language (English/ German).

LO21 Apply and demonstrate acquired theoretical knowledge during individual expert practice cycles.
