It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to register for the 12th International Scientific and Professional Conference “Physiotherapy in Sports, Recreation and Wellness”, organized by University of Applied Sciences „Lavoslav Ružička“ in Vukovar. The conference will be held in Vukovar, Croatia, on December 3–4, 2026, under the title:
“Health for the Future: Trust, Prevention and Resilience”
The conference brings together experts, researchers, healthcare professionals, representatives of the academic community, and policymakers with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experiences, and contemporary approaches to health promotion, strengthening trust in healthcare systems, and enhancing the resilience of individuals and communities.
Through interdisciplinary dialogue and professional presentations, the conference will provide a platform for discussing current challenges and opportunities for improving public health, preventive strategies, and sustainable healthcare models for the future.

The International Scientific and Professional Conference “Physiotherapy in Sport, Recreation, and Wellness” has been held once a year since 2014, organized by the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička in Vukovar” in cooperation with partner institutions.
AIM AND PURPOSE
The main aim and purpose of the Conference is to serve as a platform for interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and experiences among researchers, practitioners, and educators in the fields of physiotherapy, health care, sports and recreation, as well as other scientific fields and disciplines. The diversity of approaches and unique perspectives on sports, recreation, and the care of athletes and the general population from various scientific disciplines adds extra value to this Conference.
Through multidisciplinary collaboration, the Conference fosters the implementation of new insights, the connection of experts from different scientific areas and disciplines, and the creation of new ideas and collaborations. Anyone who, from the perspective of their scientific field, deals with sports, athletes, as well as the health and well-being of the general population, is welcome to join.
The official languages of the Conference are Croatian and English. Active participation is possible by presenting the results of original research or a literature review on topics related to the Conference’s main theme and objectives.
PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE
Participation in the Conference can be either active—by presenting scientific and professional papers—or passive, by attending presentations and taking part in discussions on the presented papers.

For passive participation, it is sufficient to send an email stating the intention to attend the Conference to the official conference email (physiotherapy@vevu.hr ) and pay the prescribed registration fee available here.
Authors of scientific papers can apply for active participation by submitting the abstract of the paper they plan to present at the Conference (in both Croatian and English) through Application form to: physiotherapy@vevu.hr, respecting the specified deadlines.
After submitting the abstract, authors will receive feedback on whether their abstract has been accepted. The Organizing Committee, led by the Conference Secretary, decides on abstract acceptance based primarily on the quality of the abstract and its alignment with the Conference theme and objectives.
Full Papers
Full papers for accepted abstracts should be sent via email to: physiotherapy@vevu.hr. After receiving the full paper, the corresponding author will receive confirmation that the paper has been received and is under review. The review process is described here.
The final version of the paper is published in the Conference Proceedings. You can view the Proceedings here.
Papers may be presented as an oral presentation at the Conference, an online oral presentation, or in the form of an e-poster.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING E-POSTERS
E-posters must be created as a vertically oriented JPG file (1080 × 1920 pixels). The completed e-poster must be sent at least three days before the start of the Conference to: physiotherapy@vevu.hr.
