The International Conference on “Development of Public Administration” took place on June 1^st and 2^nd, 2023, in Otočki Virovi under the patronage of the Ministry of Justice and Administration of the Republic of Croatia. The conference was organized in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar, the Polytechnic of Šibenik, the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka, the Faculty of Law of the University of Tuzla, the University of Applied Sciences of Istria, the BEDER University College in Albania, the State School for Public Administration, and the Central and Eastern European Association for Public Administration. The media sponsor for this year’s event was Novi informator d.o.o.

The central theme of the conference, “Human Resource Management in Public Administration,” brought together numerous experts and scholars from Croatia and abroad who presented their insights and research on the development, motivation, and management of human resources in the public sector, with the ultimate goal of improving public administration services.

On the first day of the conference, keynote lectures were delivered by Prof. Joanne Wegner, Ph.D., a judge at the Supreme Administrative Court from the University of Lodz in Poland, Prof. Dario Đerđa, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Law at the University of Rijeka, and Asst. Prof. Edina Šehrić, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tuzla. The second day of the conference featured presentations of 42 peer-reviewed papers by authors from six different countries, covering all the thematic areas of this year’s conference.
