At the session held on 14 July 2023, the Croatian Parliament appointed new members to the National Council for Higher Education, Science and Technological Development, including for the second time our Vice Dean for Professional and Scientific Research work and International Cooperation, Assist. Prof. PhD Sanja Gongeta, profess. stud. prof.

The National Council for Higher Education, Science, and Technological Development is the supreme body that proposes and encourages measures for the advancement of higher education, scientific and artistic activities, and technological development. It monitors the development of scientific and artistic fields and provides opinions on strategic planning acts related to higher education, science, and technological development in the Republic of Croatia, among other responsibilities.

The National Council for Higher Education, Science, and Technological Development consists of 15 members. The candidates for the Council members are determined by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, and the appointments are made by the Croatian Parliament based on the proposal of the Committee for Education, Science and Culture of the Croatian Parliament.
