The CARNET conference for users in higher education, titled “THECUC 2023 – Digital Transformation of Higher Education: Innovations for the Future of Learning and Teaching”, took place in Vodice from November 7th to 10th, 2023. Our University was represented by the dean Assist. Prof. dr. sc. Željko Sudarić, prof. of profess. stud., and Igor Bilandžić, ing. Besides attending the conference, our representatives participated in a focus group on the topic of digital maturity. The conference, part of the e-University project, gathered over 500 participants from higher education, including policymakers, administrators, teaching staff, system administrators, and IT personnel.

The central theme of the conference was the e-University project with a total available grant of 84.013.537,73 EUR. The project aims to digitally transform higher education in Croatia through the implementation and development of digital teaching infrastructure, tools, and competencies. In addition to presenting the project and its specific activities, there was a focus on the introduction of digital diplomas.

Numerous speakers from international companies and scientists from Croatian and global universities provided insights into how digital transformation can shape and create the future of higher education.
