During the week of May 6-10, 2024, our University of Applied Sciences hosted two concurrent international events: the 3rd Erasmus International Staff Week and the first Blended Intensive Program (BIP) titled “Smart University – Smart Campus”
Both events, gathering partner higher education institutions from five countries – Esslingen University (Germany), Cracow University of Economics, Ignacy Mościcki University of Applied Sciences in Ciechanów, and Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno (Poland), Business Academy in Novi Sad (Serbia), University of Pécs, Faculty of Law (Hungary), Univerza v Novem mestu (Slovenia) and participants from ten institutions – represented a significant step forward in promoting international cooperation and the exchange of ideas among our university, students, and academic and non-academic staff.
Students had the opportunity to hear invited lectures from experts in the fields of economics, law, and biomedicine. Current topics were presented to students by dr. oec. Paolo Crugnola, ENTO (Switzerland), dr. Tamás Puskás, University of Pécs, Faculty of Law (Hungary), and Assist. Prof. dr. Nada Živanović, UPNAS (Serbia).
Sustainable economies and smart technologies are becoming increasingly important segments of our daily lives and business operations, making it essential for educational institutions to operate in accordance with these trends.
Given that we have recently moved to a new, modern space that aligns with sustainable economy and smart technology principles, we are extremely proud to be part of the dialogue initiative on the future of higher education through the BIP program.
With more than 60 participants from diverse cultures and academic backgrounds, the international week provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices.
We thank our partners and participants, and the results of the anonymous survey encourage and motivate us for the next challenge in the coming year.
