Once again this academic year, the University VEVU organized a study trip for students of the Business and Administrative Department. As part of the two-day study trip, students visited Zagreb on April 25th and 26th, expanding their knowledge in areas relevant to their field of study.
On the first day of the trip, students, along with their mentors Assist. Prof. dr. sc. Sanja Gongeta, Ivan Belaj, mag. iur., senior lecturer, dr. sc. Borislav Marušić, prof. of profess. stud., and dr. sc. Danijela Romić, senior lecturer, visited the Croatian Parliament. There, they further expanded their knowledge of the history of legislation in Croatia and learned about our highest legislative body. The same day, they also visited the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, where they attended lectures at the Diplomatic Academy on the role of diplomacy in the European context, economic diplomacy, and future challenges it will face.
On the second day of their stay in Zagreb, they visited the new logistics and distribution center of the Atlantic Group in Velika Gorica. Students from our two departments had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the Commercial Sales Department, discovering which brands Atlantic Group owns and distributes in Croatia and the region. They were also briefed on customer management strategies. In the Operational Sales Department, they learned about how Atlantic Group organizes field sales and improves sales with over 3.000 items in the existing sales assortment. In the Logistics Department, students were introduced to key challenges in modern logistics, potential solutions to labor shortages, warehouse capacities, and the role of automation and robotics in contemporary logistics.
The new knowledge and experiences gained during this study trip will be of great benefit to the professional development of our students.
