Last week, our College established cooperation in the ERASMUS area with a new ERASMUS + partner from Slovakia – the Faculty of Economics in Košice. The cooperation was initiated by the Department of Common Classes. President of the Department dr. Sc. Borislav Marušić, Ph.D. v. š. held a series of lectures on business English as well as personal finance.
The Faculty of Economics is part of the Technical Polytechnic of Košice, which in addition to the Faculty consists of the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnology, Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies and Faculty of Air Transport. The Faculty of Economics in Košice is an institution with more than 1,000 full-time and part-time students, offering studies in Finance, Banking, Investment and Economics and Management in Public Administration, at all three levels of higher education. As the most important institution of this type, the Faculty of Economics in Košice contributes significantly to the economic development of the eastern part of the Slovak Republic.
The achieved initial contact represents an additional step in the direction of its internationalization, and we are planning future activities related to the cooperation between the two higher education institutions.
