The Director of the Vukovar Development Agency (VURA d.o.o.), Jasmina Jukić, bacc. oec., and the Dean of the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar, Assist. Prof. Željko Sudarić, PhD, signed a Cooperation Agreement on 9 December 2025, at the initiative of the University’s Business Department.

The Agreement is important for the University VEVU, as the only higher education institution in the Vukovar-Srijem County, because VURA d.o.o. is a city-owned company established as a support institution for the development and improvement of the quality of life of the citizens of Vukovar. Its mission is to encourage sustainable development, prepare the City of Vukovar’s capacities for attracting European funds, and participate in various joint activities that result in long-term regional development, through fostering the development of human resources, entrepreneurship, and the labor market.

The signatory parties agreed on the joint organization of workshops, conferences, and educational programs, the use of human resources for the purpose of providing expert opinions, joint promotional activities, and the implementation of professional internships for Polytechnic students.

The University VEVU is particularly interested in cooperation in the field of professional practice, as VURA’s professional capacities enable not only practical training for the University’s students, but also for incoming ERASMUS+ students who receive training in English.
