Students from the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar, attending the professional undergraduate Administrative study program, led by the Dean Asst. Prof. Željko Sudarić, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Education and Students Ivan Belaj, senior lecturer, and the Head of the Administrative Department Daša Panjaković Senjić, Ph.D., lecturer, visited the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia on May 26, 2023. Thus, the University continues its ongoing organization of study trips for its students.

The Head of the Diplomatic Academy, Lada Muraj, Ph.D., gave lecture on the topic of Foreign Service within the system of state administration and the priorities of Croatia’s foreign policy. She initially discussed the specifics of the diplomatic profession, followed by an overview of the development of the Croatian Foreign Service in line with the evolution of foreign policy priorities. The lecture concluded with a presentation of the effects of Croatia’s membership in the European Union on the overall social and economic development of the country. In response to students’ inquiries, the participation of Croatia in the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy was explained, taking into account the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
