On the occasion of the celebration of 20 years since the recognition of Croats as a national minority in the Republic of Serbia and the birthday of Bishop Ivan Antunović, on June 24, 2022, the Croatian National Council organized a formal academy in the Great Hall of the City Hall in Subotica. On this occasion, the best students and educators were presented with prizes (“red pen”, “red tie”, “red bow”) and recognition both for outstanding results and for special success in teaching in the Croatian language in the past school year. The ceremonial academy was attended on behalf of our College by the dean Ph.D. Željko Sudarić, college professor, and awarded prizes to the best students. HNV President Jasna Vojnić greeted all those present and recalled that all education in the Croatian language had passed through these 20 years, and the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia Radovan Fuchs shared with those present his satisfaction with the progress in education and pointed out that education an area where investment is by no means a wasted investment.

The celebration of the academy was used for a working meeting in which, in addition to the aforementioned stakeholders, Prof. Dario Magdić from the Central State Office for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia, at which we also discussed the enrollment of applicants under a special quota for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia to our College.
