This academic year as well, the University VEVU organized a study visit for students of the Business and Administrative Departments. As part of a two-day study visit, on April 15 and 16 the students visited Zagreb, where they expanded their knowledge in the fields for which they are being educated.

On the first day of the study visit, the students, together with their mentors dr. sc. Borislav Marušić, prof. of profess. studies, and Suzana Dikonić, lecturer, visited the State Electoral Commission. The Vice Presidents of the State Electoral Commission, Gordana Jalšovečki, dipl. Iur., and mr. sc. Josip Salapić, as well as Commission member Ivana Belec, dipl. iur., and the Head of the Service for the Preparation and Implementation of Elections and Referendums, Kristina Vlašić Krasnec, dipl. iur., presented facts related to the composition and responsibilities of the State Electoral Commission to our students.

The competencies of the State Electoral Commission range from organizing and supervising parliamentary, presidential, and local elections to organizing and overseeing national and local referendums. The Commission is also responsible for monitoring the financing of political activities and election campaigns and participates in election observation missions in the member states of the European Union.

On the second day of our stay in Zagreb, we visited the company Coca-Cola HBC Croatia. Students of both study programs had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the history and organizational structure of a company that has been operating in Croatia since 1968. Coca-Cola HBC Croatia is a member of the Coca-Cola HBC Group, which operates in 29 countries and serves 715 million consumers. It is the main and authorized bottler and distributor of beverages of The Coca-Cola Company in this part of the world.

The students had the opportunity to visit the production facility accompanied by Production Manager Dario Bartolao, dipl. ing., attend a presentation by Tihana Šarić, mag. oec., on the company’s latest marketing trends, and learn about the career path of Stijepan Petrović, dipl. oec., who started working at the Coca-Cola HBC branch in Osijek 23 years ago. His perseverance and dedicated work led him to the position of Director of the Spirits and Coffee Division.

The study visit was very inspiring, and the new knowledge and experiences gained during this visit will be of great value in the professional work and career development of our students.
