A Great Opportunity for Croatian Innovators

The University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar is a member of the Regional Consortium for Supporting the Development of New Services and Products within the Acceleration Program. The consortium is led by the Competence Center d.o.o. for Research and Development from Vinkovci, and includes 18 other institutions such as regional and local development agencies, higher education institutions, business incubators, and industrial and technological parks.

The Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO) has designed a comprehensive support system within the ACCELERATION PROGRAM for all newly established innovative companies, innovative development teams, and individuals across all regions of Croatia. The program includes support aimed at initial business condition assessments, individual business consulting, mentoring from professional mentors, assistance in communication with investors, internationalization activities, and more.

By applying to the announced Public Call, it is possible to gain the right to non-financial support in the form of services from the nine consortium of accelerators from all regions of Croatia, valued at:

• up to €4.000 in the pre-acceleration phase
• up to €17.000 in the acceleration phase
• up to €6.000 in the post-acceleration phase

For applicants who successfully complete the pre-acceleration phase, HAMAG-BICRO will announce a limited call for the allocation of grants up to €25.000, as well as a call for the allocation of vouchers for the internationalization of companies participating in the Acceleration Program (for activities related to participation in international events, exhibitions, fairs, workshops, conferences, covering travel expenses, accommodation costs, registration fees, etc.).

Applications are accepted via an online form until August 7, 2024.

Eligible to apply are newly established companies founded no more than five years prior to the project proposal submission date, development teams, and individuals (natural persons – for the pre-acceleration phase) developing an innovative product/service currently at TRL stages 5-8.

HAMAG-BICRO, in cooperation with local accelerators, will select up to 160 users across the Republic of Croatia who will have the opportunity to develop their business in the premises of one of the accelerators over the next two years.

The Public Call for Expressions of Interest to Participate in the PRE-ACCELERATION PHASE has been announced within the ACCELERATION PROGRAM under the measure “Strengthening Acceleration Activities,” reference number in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan C1.1.2. R2-I4.
