On February 11, 2025, the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar hosted the central celebration of International 112 Day, featuring a tactical and technical exhibition by the State Intervention Unit of Civil Protection Osijek. As part of the event, an evacuation drill was conducted for students, teaching staff, and technical personnel.

The Head of the Civil Protection Service Vukovar and President of the Alumni Association of VEVU, Stjepan Draganić, delivered an educational lecture to all University VEVU employees. He provided insights into the operations of the County 112 Center in Vukovar, the total number of emergency calls received over the past year, and significant events from 2024.

The event attracted many interested students, pupils, children, and other citizens of Vukovar, emphasizing the importance of the 112 emergency number in ensuring public safety.
