MOBILITY INFORMATION:
STAFF MOBILITY FOR TEACHING

This activity allows HEI teaching staff or staff from enterprises to teach at a partner HEI abroad. Staff mobility for teaching can be in any subject area/academic discipline.
Duration of the activity: From minimum 3 days from and for program countries to maximum 2 months, excluding travel time.
A teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week (or any shorter period of stay but not less than 5 days). If the mobility lasts longer than one week, the minimum number of teaching hours for an incomplete week should be proportional to the duration of that week.
Eligible period for teaching mobility at VEVU: during winter and summer semester.

STAFF MOBILITY FOR TRAINING

This activity supports the professional development of HEI teaching and non-teaching staff in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at a partner HEI, or at another relevant organisation abroad.
Training programming could be built around the transfer of knowledge and good practice, learning from shared experience, the acquiring of new practical skills and discovery of new ideas for methods of teaching and learning.
Mobility exchange is NOT possible during the summer and winter break.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
NOMINATION BY SENDING HEI

Staff taking part in a higher education mobility project must be selected by their sending HEI in a fair and transparent way. For the application contact International Office or Erasmus coordinator at your home university.

Partner HEI nominates their selected staff for participating in mobility at VEVU.
Prior to their application of arrival, staff must have agreed on a mobility programme with the receiving institutions – Staff Mobility Agreement or Mobility plan.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE for incoming staff.
After VEVU receive nomination from applicant’s university, incoming staff will receive instruction for registration by themselves. If the applicant is accepted, it will receive welcome e-mail form VEVU with the instructions for preparations for coming at VEVU.
Approval/Acceptance Letter
Erasmus coordinator will send an Acceptance Letter and confirmed Learning Agreement to the staff.
Staff who need visa will additionally receive other information about important documents – originals for applying the visa by post.
