Dear Students,

our long-standing partner, the Association for Support to Victims and Witnesses, has announced a call for volunteer applications.

Any one of us can become a victim or witness to a criminal offense and find ourselves involved in complex police and judicial proceedings, which can be difficult to navigate and highly stressful. Emotional support provided by volunteers is therefore of great help to all participants in such proceedings.

Students from any study program can participate in volunteering, as the focus is on the voluntary investment of time in various socially beneficial activities. All that is needed is your willingness to dedicate some of your free time to helping people in specific life situations, situations we could all potentially face.

The Association for Support to Victims and Witnesses is an authorized provider of free legal aid, and this aspect of volunteering is particularly beneficial for students in the Public Administration program as it provides practical knowledge about the work of various administrative bodies. Many of our students have already recognized these advantages and have been or still are volunteers with the association.

You can find more information about volunteering in the attached leaflet. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact the Association for Support to Victims and Witnesses by phone or email.

Be brave, be human, be compassionate – volunteer!
