From October 10th to 13th, the EUSA Convention and EUSA-FISU Seminar were held in the Italian city of Salerno, marking the first time that these events were organized together. Over 100 participants gathered in the host city of the upcoming European University Games 2026, including representatives from the European University Sports Association (EUSA), the International University Sports Federation (FISU), the EUSA Technical Commission, and members of the organizing committees for European University Championships.

In addition to the members of the Croatian Academic Sports Association, who actively participated in panel discussions and presentations, representatives from our University of Applied Sciences also took part. The Vice Dean for Professional and Scientific Research and International Cooperation, Assist. Prof. PhD Sanja Gongeta, prof. of profess. stud., and the President of SUSVEVU, Dražen Pejić, M.Sc. in Kinesiology, senior lecturer, used this opportunity to present and promote the organization of the European University Water Polo Championship, which will take place in Vukovar in 2025.

With a rich and dynamic program that included presentations, panel discussions, and sports activities, participants had the opportunity to further strengthen cooperation and exchange ideas and experiences in the field of university sports.
