As part of the 20th Lifelong Learning Week, a workshop dedicated to the importance of physical activity and reducing prolonged sitting in daily and work environments was held at the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar.

Through a brief theoretical and practical presentation, participants learned about the impact of physical inactivity on health and discovered simple ways to incorporate more physical activity into their workday. Special emphasis was placed on active breaks, stretching and mobility exercises, and simple exercises that can easily be performed at the workplace.

The goal of the workshop was to demonstrate how small, consistent changes to daily habits can contribute to health, physical fitness, and overall well-being. The crucial role of physiotherapists in education, prevention, and designing physical activity programs tailored to individual and workplace needs was also highlighted.

Participants left the workshop with practical knowledge and guidelines they can immediately apply in their daily lives and at work.

We extend our gratitude to Tea Dodlek, univ. mag. physioth., Lecturer, Head of the Lifelong Learning Center, and Nikola Ivković, mag. physioth., Lecturer, for organizing and conducting the workshop, as well as to all colleagues whose participation and support contributed to its successful execution.

By marking Lifelong Learning Week, we continue to promote a culture of learning, development, and acquiring new knowledge and skills throughout life.
