The University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar is pleased to highlight the participation of Assist. Prof. Sanja Gongeta, PhD, Vice Dean for Professional and Scientific Research and International Cooperation, at the international conference “Economic Impact of Erasmus+ Student Mobility”, taking place from 23 to 25 June 2026 on the Tróia Peninsula, Portugal.

The conference is organised by the Institute for Higher Education, I. P., in cooperation with the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), and brings together international experts and stakeholders in higher education to examine the socio-economic impact of the Erasmus+ Programme and the contribution of international student mobility to the development of higher education.

The Vice Dean’s participation was approved by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU). Following the national selection procedure, she was chosen to represent Croatia at this prestigious international event, further recognising her professional expertise and reaffirming the active engagement of the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar in European educational and development initiatives.

Throughout the three-day programme, participants are taking part in plenary sessions, panel discussions, and thematic workshops exploring the impact of Erasmus+ mobility on the development of students’ competencies, graduate employability, innovation capacity, as well as broader social and economic development.

By participating in this conference, the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar continues to strengthen its international cooperation and keep pace with contemporary developments in higher education, with a particular focus on internationalisation, the quality of academic programmes, and the advancement of academic excellence.
