On 11 and 12 May 2026, the VEVU 2026 Career and Open Days<\/em> were successfully held at the University of Applied Sciences \u201cLavoslav Ru\u017ei\u010dka\u201d in Vukovar. This two-day event was dedicated to strengthening the connection between education and the labor market, as well as presenting the University\u2019s study programs and activities.<\/p>\n

The program me of the first day, 11 May, focused on career development and networking opportunities between students and employers. As part of the Employer Fair<\/em>, students had the opportunity to meet representatives of various companies and institutions and obtain information on employment and internship opportunities. Around fifteen employers and University partners presented their organizations and exchanged information and experiences with interested students. The program continued with the workshop CV 2.0: Write a Winning Resume<\/em>, during which students gained practical knowledge and advice on preparing an effective professional CV.<\/p>\n

The second day, 12 May, was intended for final-year secondary school students and all prospective students interested in studying at the University. Through the activity VEVU Starter Pack: A Guide for Secondary School Students<\/em>, participants were introduced to the study programs, admission requirements, and student life at the University. Around one hundred final-year students toured the lecture halls and specialized laboratories used for teaching, as well as the fitness hall, library, University centers, and other facilities within the University building. The program concluded with the workshop The Rhythm of a Successful Presentation: Skills for Success<\/em>, where participants developed communication and presentation skills important for both academic and professional development.<\/p>\n

By organizing the VEVU 2026 Career and Open Days<\/em>, the University once again confirmed its important role in fostering cooperation with the business sector and providing support to students and young people in planning their educational and professional future.<\/p>\n
