{"id":44583,"date":"2025-05-02T14:52:19","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T12:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vevu.hr\/dan-grada-vukovara-4\/"},"modified":"2025-05-12T09:25:27","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T07:25:27","slug":"vukovar-city-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vevu.hr\/en\/vukovar-city-day-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Vukovar City Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;There is a city dear to every heart, a true Croatian giant.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Vukovar City Day is celebrated on May 3rd, marking the day when Vukovar was granted the status of a Free Royal City (Article 5 of the Statute of the City of Vukovar).<\/p>\n<p>When adopting the City Statute, city officials chose May 3rd as Vukovar City Day because, according to the church calendar, it is the feast day of Saints Philip and James.
